Autumn Falls Recount
MPW Presents: AUTUMN FALLS

All MPW event results
Welcome to the monster pit once again wrestling Fans! The tension is crackling like a high-voltage wire tonight. Autumn Falls is the last chance the roster has to impress MPW Owner Nelson Mayer and MPW Commissioner Nino before the ultimate MPW event next month. And the wrestlers are so hungry for a spot at the big dance, they’re all chomping at the bit to impress their fists into each others’ faces.
For the first order of business, Nino welcomes Sexy Samantha to the hype of the crowds at the Ave. The Canadian Heartbreaker, confident in her successes in the wrestling ring, is now also tackling the business and management side of the industry. Samantha has convinced MPW Management to bring back the dormant MPW Hardcore Division! Monster Pro Wrestling has an incredible record with the hardcore, just look back to last November’s R.I.P.Tribution III, with the legendary Tables/Ladders/Chairs/Fire match that shredded Massive Damage and Nite apart. It’s been a crime having the belt in limbo so long, but Samantha has recovered it. And damn don’t it look shiny under the spotlights!
Samantha’s news isn’t done yet. Management has agreed to anoint the Hardcore Championship Title as the Ripper Belt, in honour of fallen MPW comrade Trevor ‘Ripper’ Grimolfson. And Samantha’s smile is a mile wide as she announces her first business deal: a title match, at R.I.P.Tribution IV, as a Table, Ladders, and Chairs rematch between Samantha’s squeeze, Massive Damage, and the deathly Morningstar Mercenary, Nite!
The fans didn’t have long to recover from this shock, as Greatness on Demand crashed the party with their own big announcement: The flamboyant Michelle Starr returns to the G.O.D. ranks! Autumn Falls represents the one-year anniversary of Mark Posey’s Heavyweight title win. Michelle Starr and Vance Nevada goaded then-champion Massive Damage into a brutal gauntlet match, which he survived, but was left ultimately vulnerable to Posey’s money-in-the-bank title shot. Posey won the belt, but Starr took an ugly injury, and had been on the shelf all of 2011. His return now is fitting and makes G.O.D. even more lethal than ever.
But the ‘Gorgeous’ Starr is confused. Where are the G.O.D. tag belts he and Vance held when his injury forced him away? Fans know the answer to that. April was the Tag Team Gold Rush tournament mandated by Nelson. Tournament winner Tyler James comes on out to show off his shiny tag belt. TJ’s tag partner, Kyle Sebastian, is out of town on tour but TJ is ready to step in the ring and show Starr those champion skills. Nino sees an opportunity with legendary Phil Lafon also lacking one tag partner tonight. So Nino makes the deal: Phil and TJ against Starr and Bonecrusher in a grudge tag match. If Phil wins, he gets a guaranteed future tag title shot. Phil’s up for it, TJ’s up for it, G.O.D. is up to show them both up, and the crowd is waaaay up for the whole thing. The ref is in and the match is on!
MPW Tag Team Division #1 Contender with special stipulation, ‘Gorgeous’ Michelle Starr and Bonecrusher (of Greatness on Demand) vs Tyler James and Phil Lafon
Starr wastes no time making clear he’s missed the spotlight. Circling the ring, sidestepping the ref’s instructions, prancing around in his pink tights, meticulously touching up his perfect hair and showing off to the crowd. Starr is not a shy man. Phil can’t get him to step to the centre of the ring to lock up, so he throws up his hands and waits by the side. Eventually Starr steps up, and Phil uses his awesome strength and expert technique to easily secure strong positions. Starr counters with some ambiguous personal touches, and Phil backs off as a reflex. The ‘Gorgeous’ attack has the legend off his game and confused what to do next. The beast that is Bonecrusher gets a tag in while Lafon’s psyche has been softened up, but the legend makes a tag of his own.
Tyler James comes out with that champion fire that got him the gold. Bonecrusher has a full 50 pounds on the wrestler-of-the-year award winner, but TJ stays a full step ahead at all times. TJ executes a dizzying array of moves leading to a tilt-a-whirl shoulder crank on the mat. Firmly locking the arm, Tyler drags the behemoth to the neutral corner for a little old school style, but Starr shrewdly heaves his own bodyweight against the rope to send TJ crashing down and open to a revenge crushdown. Starr gets in on the fun with some provocative slams and suplexes, and even the roving Melisha slips in a slap or two with TJ reeling on the ropes and the ref busy retreating from Michelle’s beckons for a confab. Phil picks his spot to jump in and release some of the pressure, but the ref pushes him back and the resulting double teams on TJ are almost unwatchably cruel.
A Bonecrusher bearhug is now too easy to clamp in. Lack of air starts TJ’s head bobbling, and then a fluid belly-to-belly suplex pounds TJ to near complete silence. The ref starts a count but Starr wants back in for some more fun, so Bonecrusher gets up for the tag. Wild punches, clotheslines, and an irish whip booty call (with his size 13 boots) to the face are just for humiliation. TJ is not offering any resistance. Michelle climbs the corner to set up a Falling Starr. TJ summons the strength for a kickout, perfectly timed and placed as Starr’s legs fly into range. Starr doubles over and Bonecrusher is slow to step in. Tyler stretches out his hand and Phil does not leave his partner hanging.
Lafon crashes the Greatness On Demand party, throwing slams and bouncing heads. Bonecrusher and Starr desperately switch to a blatant numbers game and Phil can’t hold his own for long. TJ makes a valiant move to take a shot meant for Phil, which gives Phil just enough space to catch Bonecrusher in a technician’s schoolboy pin and the win!
Winner: Phil Lafon and Tyler James, Phil Lafon awarded MPW Tag Team Division #1 Contender
MPW Provincial Division Exhibition match; Spooky Bonanza vs The Great Kasaki
The fans are in for a real treat for this second match. Spooky Bonanza has the kind of raw power to give Phil Lafon a run for his money, but seems to have a mind forever caught up in a child’s storybook of wonder and playfulness. Across from him in the ring, a man who loves to play a good game, the herald of Japanada himself: The Great Kasaki.
The bell has rung but Kasaki wants to shake hands. Spooky is so happy to have a friend! He gives Kasaki a playful slap and hops around the ring in joy. Kasaki offers a gets a high five from Spooky, and the manchild is positively bounding like a bunny hippo. Spooky throws all his weight into a low five but Kasaki pulls the rug out from under him and the crash rattles the whole ring. That’s not fair! Spooky points at Kasaki accusingly.
Unfortunately, this is a wrestling ring, not a playground, and Spooky Bonanza is facing an opponent expert at both. The great one knows all the recess tricks, and every one ends up giving Spooky the short end of the stick. All Spooky wants is to play so he keeps coming back for more. A game of chase around the ring gets the big man dizzy.
Sensing an opportunity, Kasaki proposes a new game: Sumo! The two ‘friends’ take up opposite corners of the ring, and pay respect to the spirits of the arena with the traditional sumo stomp and stance. Then the two launch into each other. Slap Fight!! The crowd is in hysterics at the spectacle.
Kasaki does a blinking-fast instep to an arm drag, but is stopped cold by Spooky’s weight. The attempt at a real move seems to snap Spooky’s head into the game, and he counter’s with an awesome launched back drop. A big followup, breath-stealing, fisherman’s parade suplex, would hospitalize most regular mortals (please don’t try this at home kids). Kasaki impressively keeps his head, and is able to quickly counter an irish whip into a peekaboo backslide pin for the three count. It was a perfect tactic, as Spooky thought it was another game and wouldn’t (or didn’t know how to) do the proper escape move. But even after the bell rang, Spooky kept playing, and too heavy for Kasaki to budge. The ref had to shove Spooky aside before Kasaki could breathe again.
Winner: The Great Kasaki
Next up, Samantha puts on her spiffy new management hat escorting Massive Damage to the ring. But Nite interrupts and reveals he has a head for business too. Apparently Samantha forgot to have MPW management waive the common requirement to have every title match shot be subject to a qualification match first. But no worries, Nite secured his own deal. Massive Damage’s match tonight can be stipulated as a qualifier, and in exchange the match will also be stipulated as a handicap match against Nite’s stablemates, Mutato and Chris Perish. Winner gets the challenger spot.
MPW Provincial Division Exhibition match, handicap stipulation, qualifier for MPW ‘Ripper’ Hardcore Championship match: Massive Damage w/Sexy Samantha vs Chris Perish and Mutato w/Nite
Nite’s deal doesn’t seem exactly foolproof. Massive Damage is a legit heavyweight with decades of experience. He’s well versed in dishing out damage but also he’s learned how to take some damage too. Maybe he can’t beat the numbers game in the end, but Massive Damage does not retreat one step. Mutato is a big body but Massive easily finds the leverage to throw him off. Perish steps in to try and Massive throws him even farther. Mutato tries again, and Perish runs in to double the leverage, but Massive throws them both! Again the pair run recklessly at Massive but take a perfect double bookend slam for their efforts.
The fighters retreat to their coaches. Samantha is beaming and Nite is grumbling. Chris Perish takes some direction and gets back in the ring. Chris I guess hasn’t gotten the memo because he raises a hand as a test of strength challenge. Massive and the crowd laughs. But Perish’s boot to Massive’s gut, a flash flurry of low kicks, and a grounded grind of the inner knee twists the laughter into howls of pain. Mutato applies some of his demented dismantling, using his partner’s Monster Perish Wrestling shirt as a whip choke. Fast tags and relentless assault are just about the only advantage either one has, and it’s working. A lucky slip gives Massive space to unleash some bruising chops on Perish, but Mutato flies in with a lung-crushing clothesline. Another choke and now Nite’s boys pull an double team irish whip and clothesline. Nite’s turn to glower at Samantha.
Samantha doesn’t look worried, she trades insults right back to Nite. Nite, Perish, and Mutato are stunned, and in the distraction Massive ducks a turnbuckle double axe handle from Mutato that lands on Perish instead! Massive doesn’t waste his chance sprinting across to give back a clothesline to Mutato, then back to Perish, then Mutato gets a slam, then Perish. Samantha is strutting and Nite is seething. Massive gathers Mutato in a standing fireman’s clutch over his shoulders. Nite commands Perish to attack, but takes off too wild, and Massive’s unbelievably-nimble squat-and-thrust with 250 pounds on his back seesaws Perish up in the air and over the ropes to the hard floor! One last smirk from Samantha in Nite’s direction and Nite is instantly in the ring, kendo stick in furious hand. Easy call from the ref and the Morningstar Mercenaries are disqualified. Samantha signals to the back and Tyler James bursts through the curtain and crashes the ring. Massive is hurt but Sexy’s got his back. Sexy, and smart.
Winner: Massive Damage (by DQ, outside interference rule); Massive Damage qualifies for the ‘Ripper’ Hardcore Championship
MPW Provincial Division Exhibition match: ‘Mr. Beefy Goodness’ Vance Nevada vs. Matt XStatic
The next match started with an intense-looking Vance Nevada having to face one of western Canada’s hotshot rookies, (and I’m told he’s a Nelson favourite), Matt Xstatic. The kid wasted no time sharing his joy with the fans, and a big springboard leap and roll into the ring makes for a big wow entrance. Vance’s trademark rip of his training sweats didn’t quite grab the infatuated crowd’s attention from the new guy. It’s looking a little bit like the usually-reliable vet is thrown a bit by being shown up right off the start. Matt’s got the crowd already on Vance and Melisha’s case, clapping and yelling for the new star. Nevada stares daggers at fans on one side, scolds the audience on the other side. Nothing is working for him. It’s kind of unbelievable, you can see the kid draw incredible power from the crowd and the vet is already losing ground. I wouldn’t have thought it on paper, but Matt XStatic might actually pull this one out!
A lockup and the beefy one throws his 50 pound advantage into the lightweight, and Matt can’t help but flop backwards hard. Guess Matt’s got a lot to learn yet about channeling the energy a great crowd can give. Another couple lockups become signature Nevada armdrags and takedowns. Melisha looks relaxed again as her stud is firmly in control and the kid looks overmatched. Vance lingers too long on confronting a taunting fan and Matt gets him from behind with a giveback blitz of armdrag-hiptoss-dropkick. Melisha helps pull Vance out of the ring before Matt can follow up with anything else. Matt gives chase, and Vance leads him into a veteran trap. As Matt chases back into the ring with a slide, Vance wheels an emergency u-turn into an elbow drop! But amazingly, Matt pulls an athletic emergency reverse and slides back out! The elbow slams into hard canvas and Vance is reeling!
XStatic locks an armbar on that elbow immediately and sinks his weight into it. Wow this kid has some IQ. Obviously feeling the pain and the shock of it all, Nevada’s face is lit up like Las Vegas. There’s some desperation in Vance’s movements as he tries to find some leverage, push Matt off, whip him into the ropes. Vance tries an ego play with a test of strength challenge. The kid just clenches the hand and executes an incredible running turnbuckle arm whip, and once again Vance is on his butt with an elbow locked and torqued. The crowd is loving every second. Wow, Matt XStatic might actually, actually pull this one out!
Vance easily counters a naive irish whip backdrop attempt, and a trademark Nevada beatdown starts. Beefy punches and devastating boots to the face. Doesn’t look to me like XStatic has the kind of boxing training it takes to weather these kinds of blows. Vance may have been behind the whole match, but he’s got the goods and has caught up in no time flat. A dingy camel clutch with Vance’s fingers all into XStatic’s face and mouth leaves the kid absolutely helpless. But give the kid credit, he’s trying to bear it, he’s not tapping just yet. Slowly, one inch at a time, Matt pushes forward, fighting for bits and pieces of leverage. Once the hold is pushed to the edge of escape, Nevada wisely leaps up and bounces off the ropes. Matt’s back is looking pretty sore, because he can’t get up fast enough to defend against another low orbit missle kick from the veteran. Vance goes into full predator mode. Backbreaker over the knee makes Matt suffer. Sideswing neckbreaker and Matt is convulsing. A hoist up to sitting on the top turnbuckle sets up Vance’s final lesson of the Nevada school.
But Matt lays some fists into the beefy gut and Vance loses his balance! Vance is down and Matt is up standing on the buckle. A mile-high crossbody from XStatic. Matt’s going to win! But Vance kicks out at the last second and struggles to get up. XStatic is on the attack with a barrage of clotheslines and a sitout powerslam! I can’t believe it, the fans can’t believe it. Matt’s going to win! Vance kicks out barely. Matt goes for a firmer magistral cradle pin. Matt’s going to win! Vance unlocks it at the last moment. Surprise backslide pin! MATT’S GOING TO WIN! ARGH Vance gets his weight over and rolls through by the slimmest margin. XStatic picks up Nevada and slams him down dead centre.
Riding the crowd’s energy Matt climbs the turnbuckle once more. Big Swanton! Vance shrewdly rolls out of danger and a sickening thud gasps the crowd. Matt’s back has clearly given out from the crash. It’s child’s play for Vance to pick the kid up into a fireman’s clutch, and execute an airplane chinbreaker for the easy three.
Matt has a lot to learn yet, but his opponents better not sleep on his raw talent. Matt’s a legit threat to bawse out a win in any matchup. For now he’s gotta crumple gingerly out of the ring, with Vance’s victory music blaring, and keep working towards another day.
Winner: ‘Mr. Beefy Goodness’ Vance Nevada
A quick intermission gives the crowd a chance to recover and get ready for the MPW Provincial Title match. It’s just incredible what we’ve seen so far, and yet I know what’s still to come will be even better!
MPW Provincial Championship match, qualifier for MPW ‘Ripper’ Hardcore Championship match: Nite (champion) w/Chris Perish and Mutato v Taylor Stone (#1 contender)
The winner between Nite and Taylor Stone not only gets the Provincial belt, but also qualifies for the Ripper title shot next show too. The stakes are high but Nite is keeping it cool with his posse in tow. I can certainly see where he’s coming from. Taylor Stone’s proven he can take any of the Morningstar Mercenaries one-on-one, but can never seem to separate one from the other two to get it done. Still, Taylor Stone beat the triple threat odds against Perish and Mutato at Redemption to get his #1 Contender spot, and if Stone can beat these odds tonight he’ll have earned every carat of that gold. Nite sure doesn’t think that’ll ever happen… “This is as close as you’re ever going to get,” barks Nite as he hands the belt over to the ref.
From the opening lockup the crowd can tell both men are intense. Each wrestler goes for an arm but both escape quickly. Both appeal to the fans for support (the crowd is easily pro-Stone, though weirdly Nite has a few people on his side). Taylor’s drop-toe-to-ankle-lock maneuver forces Nite to scramble to the safety of his ringside mates. When Nite returns, he immediately one-ups with a low-tackle-to-stepover-stf-to-headlock. Stone counters back into a double-stepover-stf-to-standing-pendulum-cradle, then walks his pendulum over to the corner to swing Nite’s head into bopping the lower turnbuckle. But Stone’s taking too much time with trying to embarrass Nite instead of working him down. Nite counters again, and then Stone reverses right back. It’s an honour to witness the skills in play here.
Nite catches Stone leaning too far forward on his headlock and a quick up-and-down backdrop opens an opportunity. Nite goes to the outside, and starts climbing the turnbuckle but Stone is there in a flash and shoves him off into his lackeys. By the time the three manage to stand again Stone launches off the turnbuckle to crossbody them all! Sure looks like Stone is on the right track to beat the odds tonight. With Perish and Mutato laid out, Stone picks up Nite and starts a pounding from dullards to (ring)post.
The reintroduction of post metal to Nite’s forehead seems to remind Nite he’s a Hardcore survivor, and finds the will to substitute Stone’s head for another post shot. Nite then drapes Stone over the guardrail fencing, and climbing onto the ring apron performs a deft slingshot leg drop across Stone’s neck and shoulders! YeeOwtch!
Nite with disrespect throws the gasping Taylor in the ring. More damage comes Stone’s way and he struggles moving his body for the right counters. Mutato howls in delight over Nite’s capoeira kick and fallaway facecrusher. Taylor Stone is in spasm while Nite bows deeply to all sides of the crowd. Stone manages to kick out at the count, but gets a Perish/Mutato doubleteam on the apron as his reward (Nite had the ref busy in the other corner). More offense from Nite and Stone can’t get a breather to counter, but neither can Nite get a full three count.
Nite tries a dragon sleeper variation, but Taylor wedges his wrist in the way to lessen the impact. Nite’s getting frustrated it’s taking so long. Stone gets dragged up by his neck and takes a patented Nite kick to the calf. With a burst of energy Stone springs a kick of his own! Back and forth and higher up the body the kicks go and both men are staggered. Double kick to the face and both men are down!
The fans are calling for Stone to get up and he does not disappoint. It’s Nite’s turn to struggle to keep up with Stone’s offense. Even though he catches Stone’s kick, Stone just twists over and swings his other boot to the head. A followup fisherman suplex and then an elevated powerbomb should have finished it, but Nite gets the shoulder up. Stone takes his eye off the prize to set the ref straight on the count and Nite takes the opening to get off a slam and a full-ring slingshot splash. But this time Stone kicks out on a slow count. Now Nite sets the ref straight, with a capoeira kick. This is where the odds really kick in on Stone and even though he manages a superkick to Nite’s face and a tackle to shove Mutato off the apron, Chris Perish is right there for his Perishute, and a kendo stick for good measure. Stone is out cold and no matter how slow the groggy ref counts, Nite gets his win, his belt, and his spot in the Hardcore Championship match next show.
Winner: Nite; Nite qualifies for the Ripper Hardcore Championship
“Who’s the best wrestler you’ve ever seen! Huh?” Nite is yelling into face of the lights-out Taylor Stone. As the Mercenaries saunter off Perish lays the kendo stick across Stone’s chest. Stone grasps the handle and seems to come awake. Grabbing the microphone from Nino’s hand Stone angrily calls out Chris Perish. “You’ve crossed the last line, this was the last straw,” says Stone, “November 5th, R.I.P.Tribution IV, I want Chris Perish, one on one, in a Submission Match!!!” The crowd lights up and Nino makes the match a done deal. Chris Perish is no slouch but Stone’s got the mettle to take him one on one if you ask me.
Before Nino gets started with the main event, he has an announcement to make. MPW Management has become impatient with the ‘girlfriends’ running around like they own the place. So to help ensure tonight’s title match goes smoothly, Nino put out a call to an old friend to be a special ringside guest enforcer. Who was Nino’s friend? The Insane Irishman!
Irishman comes out to greet the fans and brohug Nino. Seems to him that Posey’s not deserving of the belt he wears, given that Posey never seems to win any matches without some sort of illegal maneuver. Irishman is grateful for the chance to get back in the game and knock some heads around. Greatness on Demand has got a big problem tonight! Right on cue Posey and his posse stroll to ringside to check out this enforcer. Jack Hammer comes out alongside the Irishman and after a tense staredown Vance, Starr, Bonecrusher and Melisha retire to the back. Tonight’s main order of business can finally get started.
MPW Heavyweight Championship match: ‘Mr. Intensity’ Mark Posey (champion) v Jack Hammer (challenger); special guest enforcer: Insane Irishman
The insane guy’s as big as a lumberjack. And he worked like a lumberjack. Whenever Hammer threw Posey out of the ring, Irishman threw him back in. Whenever Vance or Starr would try to get to ringside, Irishman would shove them to the back again. Posey was searching for any play to take the advantage away from Hammer but for once, Posey had none of the cards, and Hammer seemed to have them all.
Big chops, big slams, big suplexes. Staples of Hammer’s game. The crowd knows where this game ends: a devastating piledriver. Posey may not have the advantage, but he should know this game pretty well by now, and he beats a retreat to ringside for a breather. “Hi,” smiles Irishman as the champ cautiously glances up. And Posey is tossed back in the ring.
More big moves by Hammer. An uppercut dumps Mark on his back. A big leg drop leaves a Posey-shaped welt in the canvas. Hammer signals for the piledriver but Posey makes every effort to roll outside again. But Irishman is circling and Posy freezes half-in, half-out on the apron. Jack reaches over the rope to haul Mark back up, but Mark cunningly traps the arm and leans his weight on it with all he can muster. Jack Hammer’s arms are the thickest and most resilient on the roster, but arms should really not bend that way. Posey has to give up the stroke of fortune before the ref (or the Irishman) breaks him up.
But still, the game has stupendously changed. Hammer’s bum arm has him rolling around in pain. Mark Posey has all the time in the world now, and with his intensity regathered, begins a meticulous assault. Kicks, wrenches, bars, a trademark diving headbutt, Posey has opened a firehose of damage precisely aimed on that arm. The only thing giving Posey pause is the chants of “Posey Sucks” from the crowd. When Mark starts taking time to tell the crowd to shut up, Hammer gets an opening. But some clotheslines and suplexes seem halfhearted.
Posey takes some pain, but kicking out of pins with Hammer holding back one hand is something Posey makes look easy. Another running clothesline is attempted but a snakey sidestep rewards Posey with a cobra clutch sleeper from behind. The thickness of Hammer’s arm works against him here. The hard muscle more completely cuts off the flow of blood through the neck than, say, Sonic Insania’s would. With the arm basically nonresponsive after Posey’s dismantling, Jack can’t force the leverage to resist before he has to go down.Still, Jack Hammer has put in harder training than anyone for this title shot and he has enough muscle memory left to kick in when his brain shuts down. Not to mention his muscle memory is incredibly strong. Like a lurching zombie, Hammer struggles up and backward to the corner, and Posey has to drop the hold. With all his weight Jack launches Posey to the opposite corner and Posey takes the turnbuckle Hard! Both warriors struggle up in their corners. Hammer drunkenly bulls out of his corner straight for Posey, but Posey has his own muscle memory. Posey grabs the ref by the wrist and dives to the side. Senior Referee Kevin Laurin is helpless to take the full brunt of Hammer’s tackle and he tumbles to the floor. I have to say, that looked pretty bad and Kevin is crumpled and motionless. Hammer is leaning through the ropes, checking on Kevin. Looks like Greatness on Demand is making its move but the Irishman is holding them back. Oh no… Vance slips through the crowd and gets to ringside. There’s a foreign object in his hand, brass knuckles maybe, slides it to Posey’s feet. Ugh. Irishman ushers him out but completely missed the object. Yep, Posey only needed one slug to the mug and Hammer is down, out, and busted wide open. Posey could get a ten count now if he wanted.
Oh, but there’s no ref! With G.O.D. out of the way again, Irishman is attending to the ref, still on the floor. Posey comes over and shouts at Irishman to get him in the ring. But there’s no way Kevin can get up, he’ll probably need a stretcher. Oh wait… Posey wants Irishman in the ring? Oh right, I remember now. MPW articles of conduct allow an enforcer to act as an emergency referee. And Irishman starts the count amid the fans deafening boos. One, Two, thr- WHOA! Hammer rolled his shoulder up! The damaged, useless arm’s shoulder! The crowd is up and crazy! Posey is up and spitting fire into Irishman’s face! Irishman is yelling right back. Hammer is getting up! Getting behind Posey! Kick to the gut! Up for the Piledriver! HE NAILS IT!!!! The champ is down, Hammer’s on top and the count is happening. ONE — TWOO — NNNOOOOOOO! Insane Irishman flips a double bird straight at Hammer’s mug instead of counting the three. Hammer and the crowd can’t get more than a moment of shock before the whole faction breaks into the ring and lays down the gang crush. The crowd are begging for someone to stop this. Massive and Samantha heed the call and G.O.D. with the Irishman exit stage left, stepping over Kevin as they go.
Winner: No Contest (Ref unable to continue), ‘Mr. Intensity’ Mark Posey retains championship
The crowd is NOT happy. Hammer grabs the microphone and perfectly personifies the crowd’s mood. Posey has gone for far too long, far too irresponsible with his title, always looking for an easy way out, without actually having to do anything. In Hammer’s mind there’s only one way for Posey to be locked into a fair fight. Hammer sees a dog collar around his neck. Hammer sees a dog collar around Posey’s neck. And Hammer sees a long, heavy chain of cold, hard steel binding them together in a way that Posey cannot possibly escape. I see Nino’s eyes light up and I just know what he sees. Nino sees a main event match for R.I.P.Tribution! So does the crowd! Nothing Posey or the poseurs can say can get above the crowd’s roar of approval. And the match is a done deal. Getting the Insane Irishman on their side was a genius coup, but I don’t think Posey expected the odds for his next match would turn around this badly. I’m disappointed Hammer let this chance get away, but I can’t wait to see him take Posey out in the dog collar and chain match next month.
Hammer and Samantha get Kevin up and supported. Looks like Kevin will survive thank goodness. As they walk to the curtain Nino calls out Massive again. Nino thanks Massive for everything he’s done and shows respect for last year’s classic Tables/Ladders/Chairs/(Fire) match with Nite at R.I.P.Tribution III. Nino says he’s been making preparations for the rematch, and even with the new ‘Ripper’ belt on the line, he feels he needs more for R.I.P.Tribution IV to top last year. Yikes! Nite just appeared from out of nowhere behind Massive. That was discomforting. Massive and Nite smirk at each other. I don’t think either is intimidated by anything Nino could possibly add to a Tables/Ladders/Chairs match. Nino continues: “At R.I.P.Tribution IV it will be TLC #2 with Massive Damage,” Massive smirks again, “versus Nite,” Nite’s cool as a celery stalk, “versus Tyler James in a triple threat!!!”
…
GAH!
Massive and Nite are looking at each other like, like… I don’t know. This is insane! Tyler James? WOW! Triple threat hardcore TLC for… the… belt? Can Nite really think he has any chance? I mean, I know Massive’s been frustrated as anyone that he hasn’t gotten a fair title shot to make up for the disgrace of a match that cost him the Heavyweight belt a year ago, but he has to really back up his friend TJ right? Right?? Oh wow. Everything’s going to go to hell next month isn’t it… Wow. Just… wow.
You CANNOT miss the next show. Just get your ticket and get your butts in the seats. Just… wow.
