To open the show, MPW owner Nelson Mayer brought El Nino (on crutches) out to the ring. El Nino announced that after the beating “Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey gave him last show, he couldn’t wrestle anymore and he had also decided to step down as MPW commissioner. After appealing to the crowd and getting the crowd’s approval, Nelson persuaded El Nino to stay on as commissioner.
Diablo vs. Taylor Stone: Nice mat work by both wrestlers got the crowd applauding. Diablo eventually got the upper hand until Stone hooked Diablo into a submission hold and he tapped out. But Diablo wasn’t quite finished… he hit Stone with the green mist as a final statement before leaving the ring.
Winner: Taylor Stone
“Outlaw” Adam Knight vs. Kasaki: Extremely entertaining match. The Outlaw seemed to completely dominate the match in the opening minutes due to his size and weight, but Kasaki quickly taught him that size isn’t everything with his fast kicks and chops. A power bomb by the Outlaw took the match.
Winner: “Outlaw” Adam Knight
Raven Lake vs. Sexy Samantha: A grudge match, with Sexy Samantha’s new valet, Erica watching from the sidelines. Raven’s attempt at cheating was foiled by Erica but the match was interupted by Greatness on Demand (“Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey, “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada, and “Gorgeous” Michelle Starr). Raven left the ringside area in disgust as Vance Nevada derided women’s wrestling. Samantha stayed and argued only to find herself on the receiving end of the liplock of a lifetime from Vance. Once Samantha left the ring, Greatness on Demand explained to the crowd, yet again, how they were going to affect changes in the MPW championship picture.
Winner: No contest
Seth Night vs. Disco Fury: A good solid match that the crowd appreciated. Night dominated Disco in the middle of the ring, with kicks and head butts that left the crowd favourite reeling. Seth Knight won with a roll up and a handful of tights.
Winner: Seth Knight
Tyler James & Nite vs. Jack Hammer & Massive Damage: A match between four crowd favourites, this was a dream match-up, with great mat work, and some unique moves the crowd just loved. Fast moving and filled with highlights. Massive’s famous chops taken by Tyler James, Nites’ top rope jump across the ring. Jack Hammer landed a piledriver on Tyler James to win the match after a coordinated attack on Massive Damage went wrong.
Winner: Jack Hammer & Massive Damage
The Honky Tonk Man with Sexy Samantha vs. “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada: After a terrible renditon of “Be a Man” by Nevada, the match was fairly even until Sexy Samantha, who accompanied Honky to the ring, choked Nevanda on the ropes. Then Nevada used underhanded tactics to weaken Honky and dominate the match. Honky turned it around and was just about to hit the “Shake, Rattle and Roll”, when “Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey and “Gorgeous” Michelle Starr hit the ring. After a beatdown, the trio got a chair. While Posey and Starr held Honky’s arms, Vance prepared to hit Honky with the chair. Sexy Samantha jumped in the way and held G.O.D. off until Massive Damage and Dan “The Beast” Severn chased them off. A six-man tag match was booked on the spot for Sonic Boom the following day.
Winner: Honky Tonk Man
“Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey & “Gorgeous” Michelle Starr with “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada vs. Canadian Tornado & Guardian: The unevenly weighted tag teams began with the fly weight Tornado taking charge in the centre but once he tagged out the Guardian was worked over hard by Starr and Posey. Once Guardian tagged out, Tornado took a severe beating as well. As the match deteriorated, Jack Hammer came out to try and even the odds. With the referee distracted by Hammer, Massive Damage snuck into the ring and speared Posey and Guardian slammed the Tornado on top of him for the pin. Massive stuffed the tag team belts in Guardian and Tornado’s hands. They and the crowd celebrated new tag champs until Posey staggered to his feet, called El Nino over and pointed out that since he was not one of the tag champs, the belts could not change hands. The belts were returned to Starr and Nevada over the boos of the crowd.
Winners: Canadian Tornado & Guardian
Phil Lafon with “Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey vs. Dan “The Beast” Severn: Special guest enforcer El Nino was at ringside for this match. The crowd was definitely on Severn’s side for this match and Severn demonstrated why he is a champion. Despite the illegal help of Mr. Intensity and a range of underhanded startegies, the match stayed fairly even. Severn won by “submission’ when he knocked Lafon out with a hold that left him momentarily stunned, according to the referee. At the same time, El Nino counted Severn’s shoulders down for three because Lafon’s body had Severn’s shoulders pinned to the mat. After everything was sorted out, a draw was declared and Lafon and Posey jumped Severn. Severn fired back with a double clothesline sending Lafon and Posey scrambling from the ring.
Winner: Draw
