MPW Presents: REDEMPTION

Phil Lafon with “Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey vs. Jack Hammer. Phil Lafon’s experience overcame the awesome power of Jack Hammer. Using interference from Mr. Intensity, Lafon was able to hook Jack Hammer in the Tiger Bomb for the pin.

Winner: Phil Lafon

After the match, Mr. Intensity along with Gorgeous Michelle Starr and “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada invited Lafon to join them in their mission to make what they call “needed changes” in MPW as “Greatness On Demand” (GOD). Promoter Gavin Fitzpatrick announced that Phil’s opponent on the next show (Sept. 3^rd) would be Dan “The Beast” Severn.

Seth Knight vs. Taylor Stone. Another match where experience won out. Despite great crowd support and the fire of youth, Taylor Stone was overwhelmed by Seth Knight. In the end, when Taylor Stone was distracted by Diablo, Seth Knight’s experience allowed him to take advantage and roll Taylor up with a handful of tights for the pin.

Winner: Seth Knight

Wolfman vs. Disco Fury. The Wolfman from Boston, Mass. made his debut in MPW. He dominated Disco Fury but in the end, Disco lowered the boom on the Wolfman and then hit him with the Frog Splash for the victory.

Winner: Disco Fury

Raven Lake vs. Sexy Samantha. Making derogatory comments about Edmonton did not endear Raven Lake to the crowd. Sexy Samantha came out to a huge cheer and showed her what Edmonton is really made of. But, true to form, Raven pinned Samantha by putting her feet on the ropes.

Winner: Raven Lake

Tag Team Championship Match: Gorgeous Michelle Starr & “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada vs. Nite & Tyler James. After a tremendous back and forth match, as Nite tied up Starr, Tyler James entered the ring and attempted to hit Starr. It backfired on him as Starr ducked out of the way and Tyler hit Nite, knocking him from the ring. Starr rolled up a shocked Tyler James for the win. Nite and Tyler James argued after the match.

Winner: Gorgeous Michelle Starr & “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada

MPW Heavyweight Championship Match: Massive Damage’s open challenge. Massive’s open challenge was initially answered by “Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey. As Posey was on the way to the ring, Spooky Bonanza dashed past him and dove into the ring. Massive initially had his hands full with Spooky but eventually emerged victorious after hitting Spooky with his trademark Spear, retaining the MPW Heavyweight Championship.

Winner: Massive Damage

Grudge Match: “Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey vs. “The Sicilian Assassin” El Nino. Nino made an impressive showing in the early stages of this match, beating Mr. Intensity from pillar to post. As the action spilled outside the ring, Nino injured his knee missing Posey’s head with a karate kick and getting the ring post instead. Smelling blood, Posey began a merciless assault on Nino’s knee. Nino eventually tapped out to the Figure Four around the post. Michelle Starr and Vance Nevada helped Posey celebrate the victory by destroying Nino’s knee with a steel chair. The trio were eventually chased off but not before major damage was done.

Winner: “Mr. Intensity” Mark Posey
